How textilene fabric is made?

Textilene fabric is made using yarn-level PVC extrusion technology, not surface coating or lamination.

First, high-tenacity polyester yarns are selected as the base material. These yarns provide strong support, low stretch, and good dimensional stability.

Next, PVC resin particles are melted at controlled temperatures and mixed with UV stabilizers, color pigments, plasticizers for flexibility, and anti-mold additives.

The molten PVC is then extruded directly onto each polyester yarn, fully covering and protecting it. In this structure, the polyester core provides strength, while the PVC outer layer protects against sunlight, weather, and moisture.

After that, the PVC-coated yarns are woven into an open mesh fabric. The mesh structure is carefully designed to allow airflow while maintaining comfort and load-bearing strength.

The fabric then goes through heat setting, which helps keep its shape, reduces long-term stretching, and improves stability for outdoor furniture such as sling chairs.

Finally, the finished fabric is carefully inspected and tested, including checks for strength, UV resistance, color durability, and thickness consistency, to ensure reliable quality before delivery.
